How to Make a Zero-Over-Time Plan

Learn more about this approach to reaching net zero emissions over time.

June 29, 2022
2022-06-29T14:00:00 - 2022-06-29T15:00:00

Presented by Rick Hollander from RMI. BERDO requires that large buildings reach emissions standards that decline to net zero by 2050. A zero-over-time (ZOT) approach focuses on cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy by prioritizing projects that pay back quickly in the short term, while aligning larger energy efficiency projects with major building life-cycle events, like equipment upgrades.

Translation and sign language interpreters are available upon prior request to retrofit@boston.gov by noon on Wednesday, June 22.
