The Mayor’s Youth Council and Office of Civic Organizing invite you to join us for a day of action at Franklin Park in honor of One Boston Day. Groups will meet at the Franklin Park Playstead and work in groups to help beautify Boston’s largest greenspace.

You are invited to Community Iftar 2023 hosted by the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement and Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson. The event will be on April 6 at 6:00 pm at Boston City Hall at 1 City Hall Square, 3rd Floor, Boston, MA 02201. Dinner and refreshments will be provided.

Mayor Michelle Wu and the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement present Amplify GSA, a collaboration with the Boston Celtics. We're promoting, supporting, and protecting Genders and Sexualities Alliances (GSA) in Boston schools.

LGBTQ+ Advancement is developing relationships with schools across the City. We want to learn about what LGBTQ+ students need to feel more supported in their school. AmplifyGSA builds connections across differences by engaging with LGBTQ+ youth and their allies, teachers, school administrators, and families.

Genders and Sexualities Alliances, or GSAs for short, are student-run school groups. They unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth. The goal is to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities. These groups are legally protected in Massachusetts. GSA has historically been known as "Gay-Straight Alliance." However, the newer, more inclusive terminology is “Genders and Sexualities Alliance.”

Following an exciting opening conversation with Superintendent Skipper, Back to School is thrilled to partner next with the Boston Public School Budget Office! Join SPARK Boston alum Atheena Arasoo and her budget office colleagues for a presentation on FY24 BPS Budget recommendations and an overview on the current and future processes that determine BPS budget, and how you can best provide input as a parent, educator, student, or resident. Join us at BPS headquarters at the Bolling Municipal Building for resources, discussion, and community on Wednesday, March 8. Light refreshments will be provided.
