In an effort to develop the City of Boston’s urban agriculture strategy, GrowBoston is hosting four community engagement events. These events are taking place in neighborhoods with high rates of food insecurity and other social vulnerabilities: Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, and East Boston. We want to hear each neighborhood's urban agriculture priorities!

This meeting is an opportunity to ask MOH questions about the how to respond to the Phase 2 RFP, MOH housing policy, and/or the disposition process.

The Request for Proposals for the Welcome Home, Boston Phase 1 sites was released in April and on June 9th, MOH received seven eligible submissions.

In order to give all applicants sufficient time to present their proposals and respond to questions, we will be hosting TWO separate meetings on September 12 (four teams) and September 14 (five teams). 

We hope to see as many as possible at both meetings, but there is no requirement to attend both.

Each meeting will be recorded and posted online for anyone to access. There will be an open comment period that continues following the applicant presentations.

The Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) would like to invite you to the Applicant Presentations for Welcome Home, Boston (WHB) Phase I. At this meeting, there will be applicant presentations for the parcels at Norwell and Harvard.

The Route 39 Transit Priority Corridor project is an initiative by the Boston Transportation Department currently studying how to make the 39 bus work better. The project team will have a table the Thursdays on the Lawn event at the Loring Greenough House on September 14. Stop by to share your thoughts, concerns, ideas, and hopes!
