Miguel Pimentel

Mayor's Youth Councilor

Miguel Pimentel (he/him) is a first-time councilor from Boston Latin Academy. He is a first-generation Dominican-Italian. He is joining the MYC to help raise awareness of the small minority groups in Boston. Miguel would like people to realize that even small changes can impact a broad spectrum of communities, including those with disabilities and other marginalized groups. He is passionate about the climate issue. The climate is constantly harming our environment, and while that does not just pose a problem to our homes, it also affects our health. It’s important that we take action to protect our communities and help keep our people healthy and safe.

In the future, Miguel would like to become a social worker or a civil rights attorney. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with the people he loves and reading.
