Lila Conley

Mayor's Youth Councilor

Lila Conley (she/her) is a third-year councilor from Boston Latin Academy. This year she hopes to continue the work she has done in her past years on the Council. Lila wants to better the city for young people and create lasting connections with other teens her age. She wants to support the Mayor's Youth Summit and promote the good work of the council to encourage other young people to pursue a career in government. Lila feels a lot of young people are discouraged from engaging in politics and, particularly, voting. She wants to encourage her peers to vote and show them the benefits of doing so. She thinks it is so important for people to learn about their civic duties and the impact they can have on local elections.

In her free time, Lila likes to spend time with her dogs and her rabbit, as well as her other pets. She takes her dogs out for walks with her mom and they go hiking frequently. Lila also loves watching TV shows and movies, especially poor quality movies because she thinks they’re funny.
