Karma Freeman
Karma Freeman joined the City of Boston workforce in December 2024 and is a proud Bostonian born and raised in the Dorchester area. She attended Wayland Public Schools through the METCO program where she graduated in 2019. She then continued her education at the University of Massachusetts Boston studying a B.A. in Criminal Justice & Criminology.
Karma is very passionate about youth advocacy and the effects of societal oppression. She has done non-profit work through organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and hopes to expand in public aid to continue helping communities serve youth in their highest capacity.
With Karma having the knowledge and experience of being an inner-city kid, she is ecstatic to be in her role at the Office of Youth Engagement & Advancement (OYEA) as their Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, Karma works with youth ages 14-25, primarily connecting them to all genres of resources offered in Boston.
In her free time, Karma enjoys long walks around the city with her furbaby, spending time with family and friends, and coloring.
