Bea Samuels

Mayor's Youth Councilor

Bea Samuels (she/her) is a first-time councilor from The Newman School. Having lived in Boston her entire life, Bea feels a deep connection to the community that has given her so much. This year, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how change is made within our city government and work alongside her peers on the Mayor's Youth Council to address key issues. In doing so, Bea aims to represent the voices of her community both within and beyond the council. In the future, Bea hopes to study International Relations in college and pursue a career working in American politics. She is passionate about government, policy making, and generally the world around her.

In her free time, Bea competes in Model United Nations conferences with both her school and an international travel team. She also loves acting, and can be seen acting in numerous plays and musicals throughout the year.
