Nasrien E. Ibrahim, MD, MPH is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit, The Equity in Heart Transplant Project, Inc, a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides financial assistance to patients with end-stage heart failure who need a transplant but cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Ibrahim is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and clinical researcher. Her research interests include the role of hospital systems and health policy in dismantling disparities and improving access to heart transplantation in historically excluded and systemically oppressed patient populations.
