LesleyAnn Moore
LesleyAnn Moore, known as The Poetic Artiste, is an acrylic painter and spoken word poet from Boston, with Jamaican and Trinidadian roots. She has spent the past few years uplifting her community by curating art shows, open mics, and poetry brunches throughout the city. Passionate about self-expression, community, and body positivity, she uses her work to inspire and empower others. To further refine her skills, she studied drawing and creative writing at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her ability to multitask allows her to balance her own creative pursuits while helping others tap into their artistic potential. She volunteers as a tutor at Artists for Humanity, guiding young artists in their educational development.
Her dedication to community empowerment earned her a feature in the One Bead Local Leader Spotlight, recognizing her impact through art. She was also selected for the Incubator Program at Boston Public Market, powered by Citizens Bank, an initiative supporting small business growth and entrepreneurship. Her work has been showcased at J.P. Licks and featured at major events such as GBH Outspoken Saturday at the Boston Public Library and Voices in Power at City Winery, where she was the featured live painter.
Through her art and poetry, The Poetic Artiste continues to create spaces for self-expression, connection, community growth and inspiration.
