Senior Neighborhood Business Manager: Allston, Brighton, Upham’s Corner, Fenway, South Boston - Waterfront

Abby Furey is the Senior Neighborhood Business Manager in the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, where she oversees Allston Village Main Streets, Brighton Main Streets, and Upham’s Corner Main Streets. She is also the contact for small businesses in the following commercial districts: South Boston - Waterfront and Fenway. 

Abby joined the City of Boston in 2015, bringing her extensive experience in business, arts management and administration, nonprofit and small business formation, and board development to the Mayor’s Office of Economic team. She oversees the industry strategy for the booming Creative Economy sector and is the program manager for WEBOS (Women Entrepreneurs Boston) and WEBOS Week, an annual seven-day convening of Boston’s Women Entrepreneur ecosystem.
