The OSRP provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of Boston's park system as well as a set of goals and a Seven-Year Action Plan that will guide the City’s parks-related work heading towards 2030.

PROPERTY AND FACILITY INVENTORY

Provides a published record of the city’s open space inventory including property owner, protection status, recreational facilities, and access analysis. The plan documents policies and practices that protect and grow Boston's park system (i.e. Article 97 regulatory protections, Article 80 development review, and zoning).

PARK SYSTEMS ANALYSIS

The OSRP communicates public priorities and goals related to the parks and open space system from a wide variety of information sources (i.e. survey responses, geospatial modeling, environmental data, development trends, demographics, park access, park features, historical and cultural sites, etc.).
