Mike Devlin
Mike Devlin was born and raised in Dorchester and has worked for the City of Boston since the summer of 1991 helping set up for the Boston Parks and Recreation Department's City Hall Plaza Concert Series and the then Cablevision's "Party in the Parks" event series.
Beginning his career as an equipment specialist full time for the Parks Department in February of 2000, Mike has gone on to serve several roles within the Recreation Division.
Starting in 2015 he took on the role of Director of Recreation and Permitting and it's a role he was truly meant for.
Mike is particularly proud of being invited to the White House in 2012 by then First Lady Michelle Obama and her "Let's Get Moving" initiative for his work in youth sports. Mike has been an advocate for youth sports in the City of Boston since he first started coaching baseball and basketball in the late 1990s.
Outside of work, Mike is still actively coaching youth in both hockey and lacrosse, and he enjoys being at the beach or the lake with friends and family. Mike resides in Dorchester with his wife and three children.
