Maisha Kazi

2024 Summer Intern, Cultural Affairs

Maisha Kazi is a junior at Boston University, where she is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Public Relations. She is involved in her school’s student government as a Boston Community Lead, where she works to connect students to residents of Boston. Maisha aspires to pursue a career in law or government, with the ultimate goal of uplifting marginalized communities and contributing to a just society. Maisha’s interests stem from her desire to serve the community. Her childhood experiences led her to learn the power of community and uplifting others from a young age. Paired with her interest in the arts, she has explored the world of communication and design, and how that can be used as a tool to promote equity.

Currently, Maisha applies her skills in her role on the Cultural Affairs team, where develops content focused on specific cultural communities in the City of Boston.
