Emily comes to GrowBoston with a background in community engagement and sustainable agriculture. Originally from North Carolina, she graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. Most recently, she worked as the Food & Farms Director at a local non-profit, Groundwork Somerville. In her new role at GrowBoston, she will oversee the community engagement USDA process and the ARPA-funded raised beds and rooftop farms project. In her free time, she enjoys hiking & camping, swimming in lakes, and spending time with her twins.
