Kathryn Roosa
Kathryn (Kate) Roosa, PE, MIPM, is a Senior Climate Resilience Project Manager in the Office of Climate Resilience. Kate manages Boston’s Coastal Storm Risk Management study partnership with the US Army Corps of Engineers, a six-year planning effort to reduce coastal storm flooding risk along Boston’s 47-miles of coastline. With this role, Kate has a strong focus on community engagement with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver equitable community infrastructure while advancing large-scale coastal engineering projects.
Before joining the City of Boston, Kate has over 10 years of experience in private engineering consulting and public utility management. Kate is a Professional Engineer, holds a Master of Infrastructure Planning and Management from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
