Errol Johnson

Community Outreach Coordinator

Errol Johnson is a lifelong resident of Dorchester and a proud Bostonian. A product of Boston Public Schools, he is a graduate of English High School and pursued higher education at Thomas College in Maine. Inspired by his parents, both city workers, Errol developed an early interest in working for the City of Boston. 

Errol has dedicated many years to public service and prior to starting in his role as the Community Outreach Coordinator, he served as a Boston 311 call taker, where he honed his skills in addressing residents' concerns and providing essential information. Errol has also worked in the City’s Registry Division, deepening his connection with the community and expanding his knowledge of city operations. This extensive experience has equipped Errol with a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge, making him an invaluable asset to the Mayor’s Office of Civic Organizing.

Errol is passionate about fostering community connections and promoting positive interactions among neighbors. He takes immense pride in seeing the impactful initiatives and resources provided by the Office of Civic Organizing to Boston residents. As a Community Outreach Coordinator, Errol is excited to serve Boston, helping neighbors get to know and interact with each other in meaningful ways.

Outside of his professional duties, Errol enjoys a balanced lifestyle. He dedicates time to exercising, which keeps him physically active and mentally refreshed. Known for his great sense of humor and creativity, Errol values moments of relaxation and self-care, whether through artistic pursuits or sharing a good laugh with friends. His commitment to civic engagement extends into his personal life, where he actively shares information about city programs and resources with friends and family, ensuring they are well-informed and supported.
