Public School Department for FY26 in the amount of Nine Hundred
Seventy Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Nine Dollars ($977,749.00)
to cover the cost items contained within the collective bargaining
agreements between the Boston School Committee and the Administrative
Guild, SEIU Local 888. The terms of the contract are September 1, 2024
through August 31, 2027. The major provisions of the contracts include
base wage increases of 2% and the flat amounts of $250, $900, and $850 to
be given in September of each fiscal year of the contract term. The contract
also supports increased opportunities for professional development and
mentoring.

Councilor Worrell called Docket #1690, an order authorizing the City of Boston to appropriate the amount of Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000.00) for the purpose of paying the cost of a feasibility study and schematic design associated with a project for the Ruth Batson Academy, formerly known as the John W. McCormick School, located at 315 Mount Vernon Street, Dorchester, MA 02125. This includes the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto, and for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of the Boston Public Schools, from the Committee on Ways and Means.
