Sirak Kurban is the Strategic Communications and Digital Manager at the Office of BMA. He has a background in community organizing, education, public policy, and media. He holds a Master from Harvard University, and a BA from the University of Michigan. Sirak has spent several years teaching 7th Grade, working on the formation of policy in Detroit, and most recently, running a coalition as the Associate Director of Community Partnerships for a Boston philanthropy. Throughout his work in policy spaces, schools, and communities, Sirak stressed the importance of visuals and media to amplify the work of orgs. During his time at Harvard, he was the Design-and-Editor of a Harvard journal, and honed his skills in visualization, writing, infographics, and other visual tools to effectively communicate complex ideas and initiatives.
