James Mason

Vice-Chair, Boston Art Commission

James Mason is the Associate Provost at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Previous to this, he taught as a Professor of Fashion Design, and represented the faculty and librarians as President of the local chapter of the Massachusetts State College Association. He has over 20 years of experience in fashion retail and retail management.

James’ illustrative artwork includes The Twelve Days of Christmas series, The Kiss, while I was dreaming of Klimt, and his fashion collections include Fleur, The worship and Praise Collection, and Collection Dreamin’.

James received his BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, (now known as Massachusetts College of Art and Design) and his M.A. from Lesley University, Cambridge.
