Gillian Lang
Gillian Lang is a Historic Preservation consultant to the City’s Community Preservation Act Office, with a passion for historic building reuse.
Gillian’s background is in historic preservation and philanthropy. She came to the City of Boston from the 1772 Foundation, where she was program officer in charge of grantmaking to historic building redevelopment programs across the United States. During this time, she was an invited participant in Exponent Philanthropy’s Next Gen Fellows Program, a training fellowship for young leaders in the philanthropic community.
Her historic preservation experience includes work both near home and abroad, from Historic New England’s easement program and Historic Boston Incorporated to the National Trust for Scotland and the International National Trust Organisation.
Gillian holds a B.A. from Brown University and a MSc in Architectural Conservation from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Contact her with any questions or ideas for historic building redevelopment projects.
