Project Goals

65 Seattle Street LLC (manager Urbanica, Inc.), as developer of 65-79 Seattle Street, proposes a 48,000 gross square foot mixed-income, "small village" development, with 43 homeownership units in 3 buildings.  Two 1- story slab on grade buildings currently on the site will be demolished to clear the site for the new development. The 3 buildings will be part of a site plan that has an internal street and pathways. All 43 units will be deed-restricted as affordable units for households earning 80%-100% AMI. Twenty-two (22) units will be restricted to households earning at or below 80% AMI and 21 units will be restricted to households earning at or below 100% AMI. The Project will have 7- 1 BR units, 31 - 2 BR units and 5 - 3 BR units. Five (5) units will be made accessible to those with mobility, hearing and visual impairments.

The development plan is the result of an extensive community land disposition process for the site led by Harvard University and coordinated with the Allston/Brighton community. Urbanica Inc. was 1 of 5 applicants to a development Request for Proposals issued by Harvard. After University and community sponsored meetings to review all applications, 65 Seattle Street LLC was selected the developer for the site.
