Project Goals

Arx Urban proposes the project, 247 Hancock Street, a mixed-income, deeply sustainable, and transit oriented project located in Dorchester. It includes a six-story building with 47 mixed-income rental residential units. The project proposes that 35 of the 47 residential units will be restricted at 60% AMI or below. The project aims to create a healthy integration of all income levels by promoting economic diversity and social cohesion within the community.

The project will be a prime example of sustainable development as an Enterprise Green certified, solar-ready, and net zero emissions building. The new community will be highly transit-oriented. The site is located half a mile from the Savin Hill MBTA train station, is in proximity to the 15, 17, and 18 bus routes, will have a 0.38 car parking ratio and a 1.2 bike parking ratio, and boasts a walkability score of 87.
