PFD – MOON ISLAND SEAWALL
The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department, 26 Court Street, Boston MA 02108, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the Moon Island Seawall project. The estimated construction cost for this project is $9,877,241.
The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes repair damaged sections of the seawall, stabilize and rebuild outfall, install culverts, rip rap and splash wall as indicated, pave and sod areas as required.
Project Location: 1 Moon Island Road, Quincy, MA 02171
Expected contract duration is for 300 days. Prevailing wages shall apply.
Pre-Bid Meeting: June 30, 2026, 9:00 a.m., at 1 Moon Island Road, Quincy, MA 02171
*For the walkthrough all attendees will check in and meet at the guard station.
General contractors must submit all general bids with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 26 Court Street, 1st Floor, Boston, MA 02108, on or before 12:00 p.m. on July 16, 2026, at which time and place respective general bids shall be opened and read aloud in person and virtually. See boston.gov/departments/public-facilities for more information. All are invited to attend.
Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond deposit of the amount bid.
A performance and payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority in the amount of 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder.

Deadline for questions: July 7, 2026 by 12:00 noon. All questions must be submitted in writing directly to bid.info@boston.gov.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
