ASSUMABLE MORTGAGE PILOT PROGRAM

The City of Boston, acting by and through its Public Facilities Commission by the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH), is soliciting proposals from service providers with the tools and expertise to support 10 households earning up to 135% of the AMI assume mortgages and obtain secondary financing, if needed, for homes in Boston at an overall average interest rate that is at least one percentage point less than conventional or government-sponsored mortgages. 

The RFP package will be available on September 22, 2025 at 9:00 AM through the City’s Supplier Portal (boston.gov/procurement). Completed proposals must be submitted as specified and electronically submitted by October 23, 2025, no later than 4:00 PM.

One optional Bidders’ Conference will be held by video conference on October 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Attendance is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. Applicants interested in the conference should email Paige.Roosa@boston.gov.
