BOSTON RENTAL ASSISTANCE FUND (BRAF) FISCAL YEARS 2026-2028
The City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) hereby invites proposals from non-profit organizations and units of local government that provide housing and/or housing-related supportive services to people experiencing homelessness to administer the Boston Rental Assistance Fund (BRAF). The program provides funding for the following activities aimed at addressing the upfront cost barriers clients face when entering housing:
- First/Last Month’s Rent
- Security Deposits
- Brokers Fees
- Moving Costs
- MOH will enter into a 36-month contract with each selected applicant. The period of performance will be from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028, subject to the availability and appropriation of funds.
The Request for Proposals (“RFP”) package will be available beginning May 5, 2025, from the City’s purchasing website, Supplier Portal (boston.gov/Procurement). Completed proposals must be submitted, as specified, *electronically by May 21, 2025, no later than 4:00 PM.
