REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR SEALED SECURE PICK UP, COUNTING, AND DEPOSITING OF COINS COLLECTED FROM PARKING METERS.

The City of Boston (“the City”), acting through its Commissioner of Transportation, requests for Proposals from interested and qualified firms for the secure pick up, counting, and depositing of coins collected from parking meters, by the Parking Meter Division located at 200 Frontage Road, Boston, MA as set forth in the Request for Proposal documents. This contract is procured under the provisions of G.L.c. 30B.  

The City seeks a contract for a period of one (1) year, with two (2) additional one-year options to renew at the City’s sole discretion.  



The Request for Proposal (“RFP”) may be obtained on or after Monday, February 3 , 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) from the City of Boston Transportation Department, Boston City Hall – Room 224, Boston, MA 02201 or by e-mailing stephen.maguire@boston.gov.  The RFP shall be available until 12:00 p.m., EST, Friday January 31, 2020



A Respondents conference will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) at 200 Frontage Road, Boston, MA, 02118; ATTENDANCE TO THE RESPONDENTS CONFERENCE IS MANDATORY. Failure to appear at the Respondent’s conference will disqualify the Respondent from submitting a proposal. 



 Proposals shall be due Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., ET at the Boston Transportation Department, Boston City Hall – Room 224, Boston, MA 02201. Proposal documents must be submitted as follows: one (1) signed un-bound original and four (4) copies. Price and non-price proposals must be submitted separately, sealed, and clearly marked. Late proposals will not be accepted.  



The City reserves the right to waive any defects or informalities, to accept or reject any and all proposals, or any part or parts thereof, and to award a contract in the best interest of the City. The award of a contract shall be based upon the determination by the City of the most advantageous proposal from a responsible and responsive Respondent taking into consideration the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP and price.  



The award of this contract shall be subject of appropriation and to the approval of the Mayor of Boston.
