National Grid Public Hearings
The Mass. Department of Public Facilities will conduct the following public hearings to receive comments on the Company’s petition for approval by the Department of Public Utilities of its Three-Year Energy Efficiency Plan for 2025 through 2027.

The Company’s proposed total budget for the 2025-2027 Three-Year Plan Term is $965,558,364 (i.e., $294,567,016 in 2025, $317,309,646 in 2026, and $353,681,702 in 2027). If the Company’s Three-Year Plan is approved as proposed, the Company states that customers could experience the following bill impacts:
- Residential heating (R-3) customers using 107 therms of gas per month during the peak period could experience a peak monthly bill increase of $19.47 (or 7.4 percent) in 2025; a peak monthly bill decrease of $16.43 (or 5.8 percent) in 2026; and a peak monthly bill increase of $4.25 (or 1.6 percent) in 2027.
- Residential low-income heating (R-4) customers using 106 therms of gas per month during the peak period could experience a peak monthly bill increase of $14.44 (or 7.4 percent) in 2025; a peak monthly bill decrease of $12.17 (or 5.8 percent) in 2026; and a peak monthly bill increase of $3.16 (or 1.6 percent) in 2027.
- A residential customer (R-3) in the former Colonial Gas Company service area using 107 therms of gas per month in the winter will experience a monthly bill increase of $19.48 (7.9 percent) in 2025; a peak monthly bill decrease of $16.42 (or 6.1 percent) in 2026; and a peak monthly bill increase of $4.25 (or 1.7 percent) in 2027.
- A low-income residential assistance (R-4) customer in the former Colonial Gas Company service area using 106 therms of gas per month in the winter will experience a monthly bill increase of $14.44 (7.9 percent) in 2025; a peak monthly bill decrease of $12.17 (or 6.1 percent) in 2026; and a peak monthly bill increase of $3.16 (or 1.7 percent) in 2027.
