Tree Removal Hearing - South Boston #1

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will hold three public hearings on Thursday, October 5.

  1. Requests to remove public shade trees in South Boston

    The first request, to be heard at 10:30 a.m., is for the removal of one ash tree measuring 15 inches dbh (diameter at breast height) due to a proposed curb cut for a new driveway at 333 West Third Street.  

    Public testimony will be taken at the hearings, or may be provided prior to the hearings in writing to the Tree Warden, Boston Parks and Recreation Department, 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02118 or by emailing parks@boston.gov with “South Boston Tree Hearing” in the subject line. 

    Final decisions regarding the requests will be made within two weeks of the hearings.  For further information, please contact the Tree Warden at (617) 635-7275.
