Traffic Signal Construction Services Citywide

The City of Boston (City), acting by and through its Transportation Department, invites electronic bids for the work including but not limited to Traffic Signal Construction Services for the installation of new signals and upgrades for three (3) fiscal years starting July 1, 2024. This contract is being procured under the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws and are subject to the Prevailing Wage Rates. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid amount. Attention: Contractors cannot submit a bid without being prequalified for Traffic Signal work through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. You can prequalify on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation website at https://www.mass.gov/how-to/submit-a-contractor-application-for-prequalification Please be advised that the City of Boston plans to award three contracts citywide.

 

A performance bond, and a payment bond, each of a surety company authorized to do business in Massachusetts and satisfactory to the City, and each in the sum of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder as security to guarantee the faithful performance of the contract.

Bids will be solicited through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal: http://boston.gov/supplierportal. All times refer to Eastern Standard Time. 

Contract Documents will be available through the Supplier Portal on or about: 9:00 am on May 13th, 2024

Submit Questions via email by 11:00 am on May 29th, 2024

Bids shall be submitted via the Supplier Portal before 11:00 am, on June 4th, 2024, and

opened and read aloud through a virtual meeting at 3:00 pm, on June 4th, 2024.
