REPAIRS TO GUARANTEED STREETS CITYWIDE

The City of Boston, acting by its commissioner, invites sealed bids for the performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation for Bids. 

 

Bid documents may be obtained at Room 714 (Contract Office), City Hall, Boston Mass., commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024. There will be a charge of five dollars ($5) NOT REFUNDABLE, for each set of contract documents taken out.

THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MASSDOT) HAS PROVIDED A LIST TO THE BOSTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF APPROVED ELIGIBLE BIDDERS FOR THIS PROJECT.  ONLY THOSE CONTRACTORS ON THIS LIST WILL RECEIVE OFFICIAL BID DOCUMENTS.  ALL OTHERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH AN INFORMATIONAL COPY.

The Engineer’s estimated amount for year 1 this project is $5,001,685.00 and the category is Pavement Surfacing or Highway Construction.

The term of the contracts shall be for approximately fifteen (15) months, starting on or about April 1, 2024, and ending on or about June 30, 2025, with an additional one (1) year term renewable at the City’s sole discretion. The Engineer’s estimated amount for year 2 of this project is $5,176,843.98.

Prospective bidders must have a bonding capacity of $10,178,428.98.

Every Sealed Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the invitation for bids and shall be filled no later than Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the office of the Official, Public Works Room 714, Boston City Hall.  

Sealed Bids shall be opened read aloud through a virtual meeting by the Official, Public Works on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Boston City Hall, Boston, MA. Interested parties will be able to view the event live through a link provided by Public Works, upon receiving your bid packet.
