Sidewalks Repairs and Pedestrian Ramp Reconstruction in Areas 1, 2, 3, 4

The City of Boston, acting by its Chief, invites sealed bids for the performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation For bids.

Bid documents may be obtained at Room 714 (Contract Office), City Hall, Boston MA commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024. There will be a charge of five dollars ($5) NOT REFUNDABLE, for each set of contract documents taken out. There will be 4 separate sets of contract documents.

THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MASSDOT) HAS PROVIDED A LIST TO THE BOSTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF APPROVED ELIGIBLE BIDDERS FOR THIS PROJECT.  ONLY THOSE CONTRACTORS ON THIS LIST WILL RECEIVE OFFICIAL BID DOCUMENTS.  ALL OTHERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH AN INFORMATIONAL COPY.

This project will consist of 4 separate Area contracts. The Engineer’s estimated breakdown by Area is: Area 1 $2,874,895.00, Area 2 $2,874,895.00, Area 3 $2,874,895.00 and Area 4 $2,874,895.00 and the category is Sidewalk and Curbing.

The term of the contracts shall be for approximately fifteen (15) months, starting on or about April 1, 2024 and ending on or about June 30, 2025, with an additional one (1) year term renewable at the City’s sole discretion.

Every Sealed Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the invitation for bids and shall be filled no later than Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at the office of the Official, Public Works Room 714, Boston City Hall.  

Sealed Bids shall be opened read aloud through a virtual meeting by the Official, Public Works on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Boston City Hall, Boston, MA. Interested parties will be able to view the event live through a link provided by Public Works, upon receiving your bid packet.
