Open Mic Nights
Want to share your musical talent with your neighbors and friends? Here is your chance!
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department ParkARTS program is excited to announce its first-ever Open Mic Nights Series starting this spring on May 28 and running through June 25. Presented in partnership with Junkyard* and Berklee College of Music, this new series invites residents to experience live music in Boston’s parks.
This concert series will highlight featured performances by artists from the Berklee College of Music, along with the opportunity for community members to take the stage. Attendees can sign up on-site for a chance to perform, with names drawn at random for a chance to share their talents. Please note: Power will not be provided. Acoustic or battery powered instrument required or you may sing to track.

2026 Open Mic Nights“As part of our ParkARTS programming, this first-of-its-kind series provides free, accessible opportunities for artistic expression while supporting local artists and fostering community connection,” said Interim Commissioner Cathy Baker-Eclipse. “Our Open Mic Nights series invites Boston residents to share their talent, discover local artists, and experience the parks in a new way. We are grateful to our partners at Berklee College of Music and junkyard* and look forward to celebrating the talent and creativity across Boston’s neighborhoods.”
Please note: There will be no access to power for the performances. Each Open Mic Night will feature a simplified setup with microphones and amplified sound. Performers are encouraged to bring their own acoustic or battery powered instruments or are invited to sing to track.
