Trevor LaFauci
As the Program Manager for New Arrivals for the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement, Trevor LaFauci identifies and implements support systems and resources for Boston’s newest residents. He also focuses on leadership development and envisions creative ways for recent arrivals to become spokespeople in the community.
Trevor has 15 years of experience working in immigrant-rich communities. He taught middle and high school social studies for seven years before transitioning into community organizing so he could address barriers that impacted student learning. As a community organizer, Trevor worked in the Merrimack Valley and mentored immigrant leaders, helping them learn how to advocate for themselves and their communities. He has also worked on political campaigns and advocated for language access so non-English speakers can be more involved in the political process.
Trevor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education from Wake Forest University and a Master’s Degree in TESOL, Literacy, and Culture from the University of San Diego. He is proficient in Spanish.
